I gave my mom an new watch for Christmas. It made me feel good because she has to go buy me everything for Christmas and most of the things she got me were very expensive. My mom felt very happy when she got the gift. She thought it was beautiful and she was very happy that I gave her that gift. To me the sentence ‘’ It is better to give than receive’’ means that it doesn’t matter how much stuff you get on any occasion because some people get nothing. It is better to give someone a gift because it could be the best part of their day because you never know when someone is having a bad day and giving a gift doesn’t just make them happy it makes you happy.
